"I never understood why people gather to watch the sun disappear. There's much more beauty in watching something arrive." ~RM
I'm a morning person. No question. And lately my body has been obliging this by waking up before 6:00 AM the last two weeks or so. If you live in Miami you might or might not know that this is before the sun comes up. It's also the only time of the day when you can go outside and not sweat. It is in these moments that the hecticness of Miami seems to slow to a somewhat normal pace. Even MIA seems to be in a slumber, and a small reprieve from the whistle jet engines seems to give the sky back its wonder. Evey bit of it experienced from my balcony.
With a Bible in one hand and coffee in the other, I get one hour. One hour from the time the first ray turns the highest cloud red, till the sun rises above the palm trees and becomes to bright to bear. From this hour (if you live to be 85 you get 31, 046 mornings, including leap years) a whole day can be ruined or saved or neither. But so far in my case, the day is mostly saved, really before it gets started.
So, with all that being said, I'm going to starting a new series within the blog called (_________). (Not real sure yet, but I would like you guys to throw in some suggestions. I know Phillipe will *Cough*.) Where I talk about what I'm learning or what goes through my head while I'm out there. So be on the look out for that. Which provides a transition to the next thing.
I'm going to try and update the blog at least every other day through out summer. AND, Chad's got me all stoked on videos and editing now, so I'm going to try and post some video blogs soon. I think the kids today are calling them vlogs? As always comment below. Help out with the name. And watch the sunrise from my balcony below.
