The Science of Fear

So I really don't make it a habit of giving out what music I listen to away. But I've been frequenting the gym at FIU again and I'm so sick of bad music. So with a little hesitation, I invite you on to the good music railroad. Please remember, June 25 is Nickleback abhorrence day. It's the anniversary of the day they released their first album, further plummeting mainstream into awfulness.

So of course there are too many bands out there to list, so I'll just stick to what I'm really listening to now and over the summer.

The Temper Trap - From Australia> Really have burst on to the alternative scene rhythmy with excellent vocals,
Check out the songs: 'Sweet Disposition' and 'Fader'
Best time to listen: anytime especially before or after a sesh or in the background while doing nothing at all or, in this case, blogging

The Gaslight Anthem- Sounds like a modern Bruce Springsteen; definitely a summer album
Check out the Songs: 'The 59 Sound' and Boxer

ALERT!!!! if you read this by June 12, at 1:30 pm they will be playing at Bonnaroo streamed live by youtube at http://www.youtube.com/BonnarooMusicFest ......Just in time to watch the U.S. beat England

some other bands you should check out are

The Dead Weather---It's a Jack White Band
Two Door Cinema Club---Irish
The Classic Crime---still deciding on the new Album
Olivia the Band---my personal all time favorite
Teagan and Sara---yeah I went there
Violet---I went there too http://www.myspace.com/violetworks MAKE SURE YOU CHECK THIS ONE OUT!

Like I said, incomplete. Very Incomplete. But this will get you started on your way to good music and now you get to leave your picks below>>
