Bienvenido a Miami

Hurricane Bill
I know I know I Know...It has been way too long for a blog update (over a month) but, I will increasingly more diligent in posting. So you probably know that I moved to Miami, what you don't know is that it was the worst moving experience of my life. IF you ever decide to move to South Florida and want to use a trailer, carry lots and lots of cash with you so you don't realize that because of the trailer you get charged triple on the turnpike for the two extra axles and run out of money and beg American Express to give you an emergency pin number so you can extract from the ATM in the toll service station because you are a chronological swiper with your debit card and the thing won't work because there is no more magnetic strip on the back. So after that little delay it was all palm trees and South Beach and no more worries. Wait, that part of Miami exist only if you have money and after the turnpike clearly i don't. Welcome to a fast paced, crazy....extremely crazy driving and a culture that may or may not know English (more often not). It was very overwhelming at first but like all things we are immersed in, we grow accustomed. So now this "town" is beginning to slowly show its charming side and I'm finding that its diversity could be its best attribute. So only time will tell what I get out or, hopefully give to this place of only 6.5 million people.
Elsewhere I got the privilege of meeting up with my PC crew in North Florida for a little swell time thanks to Hurricane Bill. Double overhead sets with consistent head high right and lefts all equals the best surf I've ever been in in my life with some good friends. Lastly, in a previous blog I mentioned that I was going green. Well, that worked out about as well as my move to Miami. But with the classes I'm taking, I have been kind of re-stirred in a way. I don't know exactly yet what I'm going to be doing, I'm definitely going to try again and of course, blog about it.
